Total losses of the state companies from the Ministry of Energy’s portfolio stood for the past years to 4.2 billion lei, of which almost 2.8 billion were registered in one year, by only three companies, according to a press release of the ministry.
In 2015, three major state-owned companies reporting to the Ministry of Energy announced total losses of 2,790,745,042 lei:
- Complexul Energetic Oltenia (CEO) – 960 856 433 lei
- Regia Autonomă de Activități Nucleare (RAAN) – 168 276 631 lei
- Complexul Energetic Hunedoara (CZE) – 1,661,611,978 lei.
Compania Națională a Uraniului has not yet approved the financial statements for 2015, says the Ministry of Energy, so this top 3 may change.
In 2014, there were total losses of 1,236,733,240 lei reported, of which:
- Complexul Energetic Oltenia – 693 635 725 lei
- Compania Națională a Uraniului – 104 718 078 lei
- RATEN – 86,070,524 lei
- Complexul Energetic Hunedoara – 352 308 913 lei
In 2013, there were losses of 210 724 102 lei reported:
- Complexul Energetic Hunedoara – 147 644 355 lei
- Electrocentrale Grup – 63,079,747 lei.
