Dacia-Renault presented its „show car” Dacia Spring, „which prefigures the first 100% electric model of this brand” and will enter series production in 2021, according to a statement issued by the company.

„This show car prefigures a mini segment model with 5 doors and 4 seats, benefiting from a 100% electric engine. Spacious, the car displays brand’s recognized attributes: simplicity, robustness and accessibility,” says the company.

The series version aims at self-sufficiency of about 200 km according to WLTP norms, „which guarantees a multipurpose use, both in the urban environment and on interurban routes”.

The model was launched with the campaign „Electric Revolution by Dacia” and also promises the following features:

  • The body features side protections and integrated shields on the front and rear bumpers.
  • The SUV appearance is emphasized by the over-elevated ground clearance and the presence of nerf bars.
  • At the front, 100% LED headlamps are divided into two levels: a horizontal line at the top and a series of graphic elements integrated into the bumper.
  • At the back, the 4 optical blocks, also 100% LED, form a double Y, which announces the future light identity of Dacia models.
  • The front side of Spring show car, with the new light signature and specific profile of the bonnet and calender, shows robustness.

Dacia Spring responds to pragmatic needs of urban and interurban mobility. Robust, the vehicle offers both individual customers and fleet owners all the advantages of electric cars: user-friendliness, silent functioning, no vibration, and zero emissions.

Dacia Spring is thus an ideal solution for new mobility services, such as car-sharing fleets.

The series version will, therefore, be proposed in this market as well, where Renault Group is already involved with the largest fleet of car-sharing vehicles in Europe (7,800 ZOE, Kangoo Z.E. and Twizy).
