The press conference organized on Thursday by Liviu Dragnea and Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu provided, besides the explanations that the two officials offered about the crisis, the clear picture of how the power is exercised over both the administrative activity and the issue regarding the new legislation in the area of justice that drove the country onto the streets.
As I was Thursday night in the TVR studio, along with the sociologist Gelu Diminica, he noticed a relevant detail: the chairs of the two officials at the press conference table were not equal. The chair on which Mr Liviu Dragnea sit was wider and especially higher than the one of the formal Romanian Prime Minister – though the explanations offered there referred to the ordinances issued by the Government.
The image was, though, the background of another fact: many of the questions explicitly addressed to Mr Grindeanu, as prime minister, have been answered with the most natural attitude by Mr Liviu Dragnea.
In order not to take the bread out of the psychologists’ mouth in the matter of the first conference organized on the decriminalization from the Criminal Codes, we limit ourselves to recall a short summary of events:
„The only one who knows that program cover to cover (the government program – editor’s note) is me” – said Liviu Dragnea on December 30.
„I take full responsibility for the governmental team. No mistake that they would make will be allowed to perpetuate. (…) I will totally support the government and if the government will have any problem, that problem will be my responsibility as well”- said Mr Liviu Dragnea four days later.
